Kristine Zingeler: Portraits of Time and Place

While Kristine Zingeler considers herself a painter, she began working with clay, photography and found objects to create portraits that explore place and the passage of time. Her images arise from researching and documenting the Royal Tyrrell Museum’s collection and land around the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre, where she was recently artist-in-residence. The exhibition will feature ceramic sculptures and photographic collages that will act as a monument to the textures, colours and gestures found on the land and to our prehistoric past.
