Sep 1-Oct 31 Gail Protti, Bloomworks: A Garden Of Fragmented Memories. Painted canvases, textile vessels, sculptural furniture and hand-stitched cats gather into a garden built entirely from reclaimed cloth. A lifelong gardener, Protti treats memory as something that grows. Christine Hood: Slipstream. Metal, ceramic, vine and found objects in white, black and grey. Working from her Hornby Island studio, Hood makes work about being carried forward by forces beyond our control while still trying to steer. Arlen Pelletier: Tenderheart. Cast bronze and glass figures let loose to occupy the room. Pelletier taught himself to cast during a year of profound loss. Cast bronze toys move through the stages of grief in a form small enough to hold.
