The Washington Center for the Performing Arts’ three-floor gallery has hosted artists, guilds and curators since our inception 25+ years ago. To Jun 21 Matriarch: Her – Story. This curated juxtaposition explores storytelling, personal identity and the essence of life through portraiture, joining Roxann Murray’s photographic documentation of Indigenous activist women who care for earth’s community with acrylic paintings of motherhood and iconography by OBGYN delivery nurse and artist Andrea Edwards. Opening Jul 16 Retrospective: Debra Van Tuinen. Five decades of artwork from 1977 to present by one of the original artists who inspired our exhibition gallery.
