Chao’s materials often include ingestible biomaterial such as onion skins, tea leaves, coffee grounds, cherry blossoms, kiwi, xanthan gum, gelatin and methylcellulose. Opening Oct 7Stephanie Gagne: Living Dead Girl considers how figures, flowers, and insects are used across art history and contemporary media, to simultaneously represent both beauty and death.
