Sep-Oct The Mighty Wedzin Kwah, A Salmon River at Risk? brings together expressions of the critical significance of the Wedzin Kwah River specifically, and waterways in Northwestern BC in general. It includes paintings by Perry Rath, poetry by Jen Wickham and photographs by Michael Toledano. Emerging out of different approaches to engagement in protecting and highlighting the cultural and natural reliance on river systems, these pieces work together in a synergistic way to highlight personal stories and connections, and to bring into focus, through an Indigenous lens, the political ramifications of a developing a healthy ecosystem while facing industrial development pressures.
