Ongoing Footsteps Through Time: Human Journeys on the Land explores how movement has shaped human life in the Bow Valley for over 13,000 years. From the retreat of massive ice sheets that opened the first travel routes, to the enduring seasonal movements of Indigenous Peoples, visitors will discover how people have long navigated, understood, and lived in relationship with this landscape. Through interactive displays, archaeological evidence, and Indigenous ways of knowing, the exhibit reveals a rich story of connection – across time, distance, and cultures. Hands-on activities, artifacts, and storytelling invite visitors to follow ancient footsteps, uncover hidden histories, and reflect on their own journeys within a valley that has always been defined by movement.
