Tomakesenseofitall: Aisha Harrison and Paige Pettibon

TAM’s annual Current Artist Award Program includes an exhibition at the museum. This year’s winners, Aisha Harrison and Paige Pettibon, are both developing national reputations for their multidisciplinary approaches. Harrison’s work “attempts to balance the individual and the [multi-racial] collective … and also references … our relatives from nature.” Pettibon works within a range of mediums, from acrylics to fiber art. Her jewelry has attracted support from collectors drawn to her ability to “merge cultural expression with fine craftsmanship.”
