Born in London, Vaughan is the winner of the 2017 Betty Bowen Award (15,000 USD) administered by Seattle Art Museum in honor of its first publicity director. She is gaining considerable recognition, including exhibitions in Minnesota and Oregon. Her Project 42 is an aesthetic documentation of the deaths of three transgender persons concentrating on sculptural clothing, installations, and immersive audience participation. Educated in New York and Tampa, Florida, she teaches art at Bellevue College in Bellevue, WA.
