Painting With Glass: An Advanced Exploration of Your Artistic Voice | VASS Workshop w/ Helen Kovacs

Join instructor Helen Kovacs for an advanced five-day glass art workshop at the Vernon Arts Summer School, where you’ll move beyond technique and focus on developing personal expression through glass. This immersive class explores colour, line, movement, and heat as tools for visual storytelling.

Working through both drawing and hands-on glass experimentation, participants will explore frit, cut glass, stringers, kiln processes, and torch work to develop intentional palettes and refine their artistic direction. Multiple test firings and guided instruction will help deepen understanding of how heat and timing shape surface, depth, and final results.
