Marking The Infinite: Contemporary Women Artists From Aboriginal Australia

MARKING THE INFINITE: CONTEMPORARY WOMEN ARTISTS FROM ABORIGINAL AUSTRALIA is the major publication accompanying the touring exhibition now at the Museum of Anthropology at UBC (to March 31). It features works drawn from the collection of Debra and Dennis Scholl: paintings, weavings and sculptures by nine women from northeast and central Australia. Curator Henry F.Skerritt focuses on “artists who draw from the local and the specific, and extrapolate to the universal.”
