Diane Evans: Photographs 1976–2023, by Diane Evans (1954–2023), with texts
by Helga Pakasaar, John O’Brian, Grant Arnold, Karen Love and Reid Shier, is published by the Polygon Gallery, where Evans worked for many years, when not teaching or taking pictures and developing them. While Evans’ subject interests were wide-ranging, she seemed most at home with unstaged portraits and meditative still lifes. As a photographer, she will be best remembered for her black-and-white Hastings Park Race Course pictures and her handling of colour and light in those still lifes.
