Dawson City artist Aubyn O’Grady has won the 2025 Yukon Prize for Visual Arts, a $20,000 biennial award recognizing excellence across the territory. Recognized for her distinctly collaborative, community-based projects — including the subversive, over-the-top Dawson City League of Lady Wrestlers—O’Grady embodies the experimental spirit that helped inspire the prize’s creation. The award is focused on providing vital support for artists to develop their work while promoting the Yukon’s remarkable concentration of artistic talent. LR
