HONOURS: ALBERTA – Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Arts Awards

Rita McKeough has been presented with the 2025 Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Artist Award. A Calgary-based interdisciplinary artist, McKeough is known for complex installations, performances and media works that incorporate sound, electronics and kinetic elements. Her practice engages environmental, feminist and social themes, using humour and immersive experiences to provoke refl ection and empathy.
