Samantha Williams Chapelsky Artist Spotlight - West Coast Wanderings

We are thrilled to be showcasing a new collection from talented Alberta artist Samantha Williams-Chapelsky, entitled ‘West Coast Wanderings’. Artist Statement:
'This body of work is a series of semi abstract paintings depicting scenes from all over British Columbia. My landscapes employ impressionistic mark making to harness the emotions I want to capture in all of these pieces.

This series is based on a recent trip to British Columbia where I travelled through the interior to the coast and did small scale plein air paintings along the way to capture different moments.

I took these small paintings as references in my studio to create large scale interpretations of different viewpoints in BC and the majesty of the natural landscape in this province. '
