"Re: Seeing" Curated by Shayley Timm, Exhibition Opening
Re: Seeing approaches how we see others and the world around us. Curated by Gallery 110 Director Shayley Timm and featuring all local Seattle artists, each piece expresses a subtle outcry to either see the artist as who they are or to see the alternate world they’ve provided.
The work in Re: Seeing asks viewers simply, "what about this". Walking through each existence invites us to not only acknowledge any implicit bias we carry, but to also challenge assumptions upon walking in the door. Deeply personal, each artist offers witnesses a chance to see their whole person as who they really are or a landscape of what they envision. The work is created for you just as much as it is for them.
