ANIMA - Opening Reception

Expect to gaze into the eyes of enormous chickens (among other animals) when you join us to welcome award-winning local artist, Kate Tooke. Kate is an emerging artist and this will be her first solo show at Gallery Vertigo. While a variety of sizes of oil paintings will be on display, it is definitely Kate’s preference to work on a large scale.
The exhibition is called “Anima” which is Latin for breath, spirit, soul, or the vital life principle that lays beyond the rational mind. “I have learned so much and received so many gifts from these magical beings that I feel compelled to pay it forward through my paintings,” states Tooke.

The artist will be present and provide a talk. Light refreshments are available.
