To Jan 1, 2023 Xicanx: Dreamers + Changemakers / Soñadores y creadores del cambio. This enlightening exhibition showcases the rich traditions of Xicanx artists, dreamers and changemakers whose art practices draw on their Mexican American heritage and generations of activism that began as part of El Movimiento, the Chicano civil rights movement of the 1960s and 1970s in the U.S. To this day, Xicanx artists continue to combine art and activism, remaining vital in the ongoing fight for social justice for all. Xicanx is jointly curated by Jill Baird, MOA Curator, and Greta de León, Executive Director of The Americas Research Network.
