Walk Ways Explores Connection
Between Art and Body

Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA)
Portland, OR • Sept 4-Nov 2, 2002

Work by 19 nationally renowned and emerging artists will be on display at the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art. Walk Ways surveys 30 years of artworks that explore the experience of walking. Paintings, drawings, videos, photographs and sculptures illustrate the profound connection between contemporary art and the human body in motion. It’s an intriguing demonstration of art about life versus art about art.
