To Mar 16 Finnbogi Pétursson: Infra-Supra. In his sound-modulated water installation, Pétursson uses low-frequency sound to generate waves on the surface of a large pool of water. With use of lights, the pulsing waves are projected onto a wall, creating an image of the sound in the form of animated dance of shadows. Pétursson refers to his poetic visualization of the audible as a “drawing,” emphasizing the otherwise undetectable pattern of lines that his installation renders observable.
