Moments of Silence features the work of Hannes Grosse that he has painted with a 1mm brush for the past 35 years and the soulful watercolour works created by Iris Steigemann after hiking remote areas of Greenland.
Jul 5-Aug 30 Incorporating a mixed media approach, Ina Griet’s works are a synastry of dynamic play. She uses poetry, spoken word and performance to enhance her material creations. Pat Boerky’s inspiration comes from the natural beauty that surrounds her. Her technique involves cutting, fusing, and machine stitching textile processes to create miniature landscapes. Using fabric and thread on stretched canvas, Sue Clark creates tactile embroidered fabric artwork that is as unique as the natural landscapes she looks to for inspiration.
Our three galleries provide a beautiful venue for visitors to appreciate and buy works of art by professional artists from Vancouver Island Daily. Visitors have the opportunity to get a first-hand perspective of the creative process by watching our Resident Artists at work in their studios. The high quality work and craftsmanship of the nearly 150 Vancouver Island Artisans make the Gift Shop the perfect place to find that special piece.
