Barb Snyder + Corey Mah: Lunar Tails: Ruminations on Animals of the Chinese Zodiac. In the Year of the Dog, Corey Mah (amiable Rat) and Barb Snyder (mischievous Monkey) present work exploring the animals of the Chinese zodiac. With humour and reverence, they ask: What stories can be told (or imagined) and what beliefs or skepticism can be promulgated by this eastern zodiac?
Maria Tratt. Shadow Guides. With Shadow Guides, printmaker and painter Maria Tratt continues to explore the theme of personal memory through the creation of imaged contexts of origin. Building on the tradition of daemons, guardian spirits that manifest as external physical aspects of a person’s character, these new works combine etching, aquatint, collagraph and monotype techniques to develop a formal layering that hints at the possibility of multiple and simultaneous existences.
