Central Island Studio Tour
Visit active, professional artisans in their natural environments, find new and beautiful works of art for your home, garden, office or personal adornment, share the beauty of the region by carpooling with friends.
Stretching between Campbell River and Parksville, including all the islands, you can plan for a leisurely cruise of select studios, or go rally-style and pack in as many as possible!
Pick up a copy of the Central Island Arts Guide to discover more than 85 studios & galleries that are open for two full days – May 26 & 27, 10am-6pm daily – for your visits! (Plus others that are open by appointment throughout the year.)
The Central Island Studio Tour includes well-known and emerging creators of many genres – from classic realism and abstract acrylics to upcycled metal & glass sculpture. You’ll find master-crafters, jewelery-makers, wood sculptors, oil & acrylic land and seascapers, fused and kiln-fired glass makers, furniture craftsmen, potters and ceramicists, photographers & photo-collagers, weavers, pyrographers, traditional and contemporary stained glass designers, scratchboarders, weavers, even a florist, a lamp maker and a figurine sculptor!
There is no fee to visit the studios, and many will have surprise treats to share on Studio Tour weekend, as well as great in-studio pricing for their work. This is our biggest tour to date, and you won’t be able to see them all – so visit the website to peruse galleries and learn more. You can save your faves to plot out your route. You can also get our interactive mobile map via the Ondago App (free) from your app store.
