13 Feet off the Ground Collective: From Where We Stand
An exhibition of current work produced by the art collective 13 Feet off the Ground following their inaugural residency in Sicily last fall. These paintings and installations feature a diverse range of styles and demonstrate a commitment to art and to one another, no matter where they stand.
Agata Teodorowicz: Pescaderia
A new body of work inspired by the vibrant fish markets of Barcelona, Spain and Teodorowicz’s lifelong relationship with food fish. Harvesting, preparation, cultural significance and the formality of display.
Malory Tate: Être Fleur Bleue
As objects of sentimental and romantic notions, Etre Fleur Bleue, is a ceramic collection that embodies the French expression of “the little blue flower” that is still used “to cultivate, to love”. Flowers being a common theme throughout this body of work, these vessels inspire the actions of arranging, gathering and collecting as their forms are influenced by their functions. Tate is the 2017/18 Ceramic Artist in Residence at the Port Moody Arts Centre.
Artists will be in attendance, refreshments served. No host wine bar.
